From playing in the legendary Adam to Zoe in the early 90's, to 3yrs as a student of jazz , a stint through Berkley's studio engineering program, then later forming Fuse and Bottom Feeder and touring western Canada and the states....Shane has kept one very important ingredient in his sound and work.......nothing traditional. The telecaster has been the main stay for most of this career, ( modified to mimic the gibson SG or RD he is sometimes seen with), although from a sonic standpoint one would never have guessed such a block of alder with 6 strings could produce anything from a devastating distortion assault to a beautiful orchestrated synth-like soundscape.....yes there are effects, sometimes many, but its the approach.....
Now Residing in Nelson BC , Shane has appeared in Ravenhead ( now known as ECHO ARCHITECT-2009-2010), Wolf vs Unicorn(2010)Korda (2007- 2009), the Automation(2009- current) and more recently working with Vadim Kristopher in " the Shyness of Strangers ( 2011-current). He is also known to be operating the board of Mopus Studios Inc., recording in house, mixing and mastering his own work and also taking on projects from the local nelson music scene.
