Handsome Distraction, a four-piece rock band from Victoria (BC), has taken a steady approach toward breaking into the rock music scene since the formation of the band in 2009. Handsome Distraction have successfully self-recorded and self-released numerous EP’s over the years. Most notable, is their newest Self-Titled EP recorded at The Noise Floor Recording Studio with producer/engineer Jordan Koop (You Say Party!, Bučan Bučan, The Mohawk Lodge). This release is sure to captivate the awe of their fans and industry representatives. While unfolding the potential for the bands place in rock music, as well as their ever-growing online presence.Carrying along for the ride, influences of Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, and Weezer. Devin Perfect (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar) sings with passion and power while blazing his two-step around the stage, Corey Francis’ (Lead Guitar/Vocals) leads stay with you like a well placed catch phrase, while Chris Weaver (Bass/Vocals) dances his fingers over the bass’ fretboard, all being held up by Kyle White’s (Drums) robust nerve pulsing rhythms.For 2012, Handsome Distraction has kick-started a very busy new year. After teaming up with management company, Higher Ground Productions - plans for thenewest EP Release "Fight or Flight" in March, along with pending festival dates and plans for a Western Canadian tour in the late Spring with a follow up Cross-Canadian tour for August are already in the works.
