When I was young I took piano lessons from Hilda White (Niagara Falls) She entered me in the Kiwana's Music Festival. I won silver a few times. She had newspapers stacked from floor to ceiling. She hated "ROCK & ROLL" with a passion. I remember her hitting the keys as she made fun of a Beatles song. My parents would take turns driving me to Hamilton for my Hamilton Children's Choir practices. I loved coming to the big city. I was in a few musicals at school. I was Kurt in "The Sound of Music", Snoopy in "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown". My last performance was one of the steam heat dancers in "The Pagama Game". (Grade 10). After that night (May 20th 1980) At the age of 15 I ran away from home with Rev. Ron Burridge the Evangelist, Excorcist, and many other things. We moved to Hamilton in 83. I worked at Tim Horton's as a donut baker. I learned to play the organ for church meetings and led the song services. I started writing my own songs. Barb (amazing ex-wife) bought me a Yamaha PSR-630 from Reggies Music store on John St. North. the rest is history. In 97 I wrote " Super-Model (bank) Teller " and a song about my wife. I don't think she was too impressed with her song. LOL She really is a great cook! Recently, I've written about the seal slaughter, a song about meeting David Suzuki, a song about the G8 and G20 arrests and a song about the Red Hill Valley project. Mike at the Catherine St. Studios helped on 4 of my latest songs because they were recorded on a cassete tape. LOL I entered "Sacred Mother Seal" in David's contest Playlist For The Planet. GORDZILLA UNLEASHED!
