How do I summarize? I like music. I grew up in North Vancouver. I was born in London, England. I now live in Toronto. I have my own media consulting practice. I do it because I love it and I know how to navigate media and connect people. I've had the priviledge of working with everyone from Alice Cooper to Eric Burdon to launching indie labels like Secret City, watching Patrick Watson and karkwa win the Polaris Prize, seeing music critics listen to Arcade Fire's The Suburbs for the first time, engaging a community of people to build the first ever Electronic category at the Juno Awards (I now chair the category). Along the way, I've had the priviledge to quell my travel bug - living in India for two months in 2004/2005 was life changing - spending six months living back in my birthtown of London and traipsing around Europe to discover the best galleries and coffees filled my soul.
Some of the things that inspire me: Paul Auster, Francois Ozon, Balint Zsako, Douglas Coupland, India, The Tate Modern, Louisiana.dk, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Hauschka, Florence and the Machine and Beck.
I like it when you recommend the things you are passionate about to me. That's why I joined Radio 3. I was always an avid listener and I often work with them, but I'd never dived in. So here I am.
