Multi-instrumentalist, educator, arranger, composer, improviser and all around nice guy Chris Harnett hates writing bios. He likes to play music, it is a lot of fun. He plays saxophones, flutes, clarinets, sings and dabbles on most others as well. He plays most often with Idlers, Funky Dory, and Jazz East in St. John's, is a regular member of The Offering of Curtis Andrews is one of Chris Kirby's Horns of Justice. Other performance/recording credits include a show with Chubby Checker, 8 months with Carnival Cruiselines, Sherry Ryan, Brad Jefford, Billy and the Bruisers, ?In The Flesh, and many others. He went to school in Newfoundland to study music, and studied in Toronto at Humber College for a year before realizing he could be paid (a little) to play instead of living in the hole. Chris can be contacted to perform, teach lessons on saxophone, flute and clarinet in any style and also does minor repair work on woodwind instruments. Have a great day!
