Allegra Young is the Recording and Licensing Manager for Centrediscs - the contemporary, Canadian classical music label of the Canadian Music Centre. Allegra has lived in Montreal and Banff and is now happily back in her hometown of Toronto.
While eating Schwartz's and playing ultimate at the base of Mount Royal, Allegra got her undergraduate degree from McGill University in Voice Performance and a degree in Communications from Concordia University.
When she wasn't scrambling up Cascade Mountain or canoeing down the Bow River, Allegra was working as the Podcast Producer at The Banff Centre where she interviewed a plethora of Canada's finest artists such as Barbara Budd, Matt Andersen, and John Vaillant. Her favourite moment in Banff was when she got to conduct a 15-piece string orchestra playing her arrangements for the recent Weezer album, Hurley.
Allegra enjoys reading, knitting, and proudly supporting Canadian music.
