Hi, I'm Andrew Mack, Co-founder of "A Few Innocent Civilians" a Kingston rock and blues band. One might say that starting a band in your mid thirties is too late, but I say better late than never. Why not! Life is meant to be enjoyed.
I started playing guitar when I was 9 years old taking lessons from a local family of musicians, Ron (father) and Tim Sheffield (son), in Napanee, Ontario. Once I started I never looked back. I have always loved playing music and dreamt of playing in front of crowds. Nervous, you ask? I get more excited then nervous. Many years of performing at music recitals and in theatre musicals in school remedied that problem.
I played live while attending the University of Guelph, while studing Environmental Science, for beer and girls but never took it seriously. My bad!
This brings us to today. Seizing the opportunity after jam sessions with Bryon McConnell we started our band, A Few Innocent Civilians. With a taste for the joy of writing, composing, and playing music, I plan to entertain for years to come.
