SummerWorks is a 20-year indie-theatre, music and arts festival that takes place August 5-15th, in Toronto's Queen West Strip.
This year's festival features over 40 plays, 10 nights of music, a performance bar, walking tours and permanent interactive multi-media installation called: The Playground.
The festival is Artistic Produced by theatre-artist, Michael Rubenfeld, who is now in his third year at the helm.

In its first year, The SummerWorks Performance Bar presents: Fiasco Playhouse|A Collision of theatre, music and performance. This features improv artists, The National Theatre of the World, and a slew of incredible music and performance guests like: Laura Barrett, Grand Analog, Maylee Todd, Nifty, Bob Wiseman, Ghost Bees (Tasseomancy), Snowblink, THOMAS, and more ...
The festival reaches more than 20,000 people a year, and is one of Toronto's most anticipated theatrical events of the year. The music series, now in its third year, has played host to artistis like: Think About Life, Miracle Fortress, Matthew Barber, Sunparlour Players, Laura Barrett, The D'Urbervilles, Forest City Lovers, and many more.
