Emerging from Vancouver, BC’s vibrant music scene, Skye Wallace is a versatile young indie-folk musician with an unbridled passion for the music she makes. Vocally trained since the age of eight, her bell-like voice has been compared to the likes of Feist, Joni Mitchell, & Basia Bulat. Last year, Wallace released her debut EP, ‘Amuse-Bouche’, a folk-rooted collection of songs that range from intimate to upbeat, featuring the likes of Susann Richter & guitar-picking legend, Joe Stanton.
Skye Wallace has been very active in Vancouver, playing at a variety of venues including The Commodore Ballroom, The Cellar, Cafe Deux Soleils, The Rickshaw, The J-Lounge, Dorothy Somerset Studios, The Boulevard, several radio stations, & more! This autumn, she embarked on a Canada-wide tour in support of the ‘Amuse-Bouche’ EP starting in September. With tour stops in Halifax, Toronto, Calgary, & everywhere in between, many audiences got the chance to witness a charming & catchy live show that you won’t want to miss!
Stay tuned for Skye Wallace’s next album, her first full-length to be recorded in Edmonton, Alberta. This brand new collection is set to release in late spring, 2011!
