Rusty Rail Saloon is a weekly radio program heard on college and campus airwaves. The goal of Rusty Rail Saloon is to broaden the boundaries of the country, roots, and traditional music genres and celebrate the great musical talent that lies outside the fringes of the ubiquitous New Country. The 90 minute program is hosted by Kim Blackier, who you may also know as axis.
The show airs on CFMH 107.3 in Saint John, NB on Fridays from 6-7:30pm ADT (2-3:30pm MDT) and on CHMA 106.9 in Sackville, NB on Mondays from 9-10:30am ADT (5-6:30am MDT). Both of these stations stream online, so you can listen to the Friday afternoon broadcast on CFMH here and the Monday morning broadcast on CHMA here. You are also invited to join the Rusty Rail Saloon facebook group, where you can make requests, find lots of links to free downloads and band info, listen to the Track of the Week, find playlists of previous shows, browse through a great photo album of Rusty Rail Saloon`s favourite artists, and post comments.
Here's to great independent music and non-commercial radio!
