I am, among other things, a former TV writer/producer, a singer/songwriter, and a technical writer.
My passion is music. I live it, breathe it, sleep it, and I've been known to eat it, too.
My musical tastes run the gamut, from art/glam-rock to punk, from power pop and emo to alt, garage, and minimalism. I was bred on classic rock, blues, and motown and keep a special place in my heart for the good old-fashioned singer/songwriter.
Chances are, if a band or artist is fresh, original, and gutsy enough to take chances, I'll want to have a listen to them.
I have met and, on occasion, worked with some extraordinarily gifted musicians, singers, and songwriters. Some are famous, some should be.
Music is the most powerful drug of them all. It can heal you, transform you, lift you up, and bring you to your knees.
Best of all, great music can be found anywhere, and, often, where you least expect to find it; you just have to keep your ears open.
