Toronto based guitarist, producer, composer, Vincent Pace, has to his credit more than thirty years as a professional musician. Vincent's extensive professional background includes performing on guitar, composing, arranging, and recording music in many genres.
"At the tender age of three, I spotted my first guitar and I knew music was the path for me". This interest in music developed into a life long passion, to produce thought provoking music, leaving a lasting impression. From his first band at the age of twelve, to a wedding band at the age of eighteen, to a latin jazz band, and both jazz solo gigs and big band gigs, Vincent has earned a reputation of professionalism and expertise amongst his peers. Vincent's credentials include an A.R.C.T in Classical Guitar performance at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and a Specialized Honors Degree in Music at York University. As a student Vincent also studied privately Jazz Composition/Arranging, and Performance Training with renowned musicians such as: Ted Quinlan, Brian Katz, Bill King, and Phil Werren. Vincent has cultivated the teacher within himself for over twenty five years, teaching music to thousands of students within the Toronto Catholic School Board. Vincent produced, composed, arranged, and performed on his first CD "Vinnie Pace Both Sides", in 1997, a mix of Jazz and easy listening music. In 2001 Vincent composed a choral orchestral suite consisting of three movements entitled "Spiritual Suite", which was performed by the Kiev Camerata National Chamber Orchestra of Ukraine, under the direction of Valeriy Matukhin, during the "MusicFest" International Music Festival in Kiev, Ukraine, and then later in Toronto. Vincent would in 2005 produce, compose, arrange and perform on his "A Journey with Self" CD, his "Spiritual Suite" prepared in an intense meditative forum. Vincent also produced a collection of meditative type pieces entitled, "Lullaby for the Soul" in 2008. Vincent's approach to composition is the same as to his approach to performance, everything from the heart. Vincent developed his own voice while striving to make his original compositions meaningful, purposeful, and with an honesty that can only come from the heart. Vincent displays versatility in both the studio and on the stage in virtually any style he chooses. As a musician, composer, teacher, performer, and author, Vincent has performed in Classical, Jazz, Folk, Latin, Classic-Rock, and Contemporary type engagements. Vincent's biggest influences include composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky, Puccini, Verdi, Vivaldi, Chopin, Debussy, John Williams, Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, and Joaquín Rodrigo. "My gravitation as a composer has always been to orchestral choral music because I enjoy the depth and challenge of composing these large pieces".
