Quite a bit older than most of you (born in Pittsburgh, before Alaska and Hawai'i were U.S. states), but I love this here indie music you young whipper-snappers listen to.
I'm a former community radio DJ in Tampa, whose day job is teaching at the University of South Florida (the "Harvard of the South"). I like all kinds of music, but especially indie rock, both in the U.S. and particularly in Canada.
It's pretty weird, but I've always found myself pulled towards Canadian artists, even when I didn't know they were Canadian to begin with. I think I must have been Canadian in another life. I'd like to become Canadian in this life, but so far, it's been tough to find a way to emigrate. I've had to be content with numerous trips to Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. Still a lot of the country I have yet -- and want -- to see.
