Based out of Ottawa Canada, recording artist Ashley Crnic began showing interest in music at the early age of three. At the age of six, she began performing on stage with Folklore Groups. Soon after, she learned how to read music, play instruments by ear, sing and dance. She became a member of a choir at the age of 8 and later began participating in school musicals.
Ashley wrote her first song at the age of 10. She trained privately in voice lessons and studied various genres of music in order to understand the beauty and variety in music. Ashley trained in Classical, Pop, Broadway, Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Folk. Throughout high school, Ashley began singing in several ensembles and performing in musicals in and outside of school. She participated in local parades and with local bands for weddings and talent searches. She received several music awards and scholarships and continued to pursue music in university.
Ashley was accepted into the Bachelor of Music Degree program at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Her various studies in music aided in her aspiration of making a career in music by creating and perfecting her own musical works in song writing and composition. Since then Ashley has been writing, producing, teaching and performing in the Ottawa area and continues to work on expanding her career.
In 2011, Ashley released her debut CD entitled ‘Full Grown”. Her lyrics in this work are powerful, emotionally charged and from the heart. She performs with a fresh, natural and down to earth approach that most critics would find upbeat and refreshing. She is currently preparing for an International release of her music to the global markets. Industry has begun to take notice and there are great things to come for this incredible talent.
