Kim Wheeler began her journalism career at the Edmonton Journal in 1994. She worked for the Canadian Press/Broadcast News for almost five years before leaving to pursue marketing and publicity work.
She joined CBC Radio One in 2008 and produced four seasons of ReVision Quest, in which she won a silver medal at New York Festivals. Kim was also short-listed for a Prix Italia for her work on the series Indian Summer - that told stories and shared songs of Aboriginal Canada.
Kim also produced Ab-Originals - a weekly podcast of the hottest Aboriginal music in Canada on CBC Radio 3 for three seasons.
Kim is currently the Aboriginal music community producer for CBC Music and sits on the board for Aboriginal Music Manitoba that presents Aboriginal Music Week each November.
She married Jordan Wheeler, writer and consulting producer of Arctic Air in 2012.
