Jen started out playing in Nova Scotia. As a child she just sang along with her dad as he always played the guitar and wrote music. But when she learned her first 3 chords on the guitar at the age of 14 she couldn't put it down and didn't stop writing. She then found herself opening for a local band called "Sow and Reap" which is now the band known as 'The Contact". Being in front of a huge crowd seemed to be the most nerve racking but amazing feelings in the world. From there she mostly played at churches, writing mostly spiritual music. She then started organizing coffee houses to get local artists to come out and perform, some even for the first time. At 25 Jen decided to sell everything she owned and give away all that she didn't sell, pack 2 bags and her guitar and head west. When she arrived the whole myspace thing started to get pretty big so she made a music account and found herself getting invited to the Backstage Lounge on Granville island to perform. She found that for the next 3 year her home would be in East Van. Change of life and friends and new music started evolving her music writing and the way she sang. More love songs and life songs started forming. During this time she was playing in cafes and pubs around town. For the past year she took time off from performing to do some writing. Now with a whole new set list she's doing lots of shows around Vancouver. She just started working on her debut album at echoplant studios with recording engineer Curtis Buckoll.
