Jeffrey Rossetto has been an active participant in the St.Catharines cultural scene as a musician, writer/poet, photographer, visual artist, volunteer, events organizer and promoter for over 10 years. He is the founding member, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of the rock/pop/experimental band Village To The South (http://radio3.cbc.ca/bands/VILLAGE-TO-THE-SOUTH ) and also guitarist, co-songwriter and co-producer of the spoken word/experimental band Skitzo-Tech (http://www.myspace.com/skitzotech). Jeffrey has participated in, as well as organized and promoted; art exhibitions, concerts, fundraising events, multi-media events, poetry readings, fashion shows, independent theatre performances, film screenings, various improvisational music performances/projects, and independent film soundtracks. He has played fundraising concerts for the N.A.C., Vagabond Theatre, AIDS Niagara, the David Suzuki Foundation, Red Hill Valley, the Institute for Enterprise Education, the Community Education Group, the Green Party of Canada, Ontario’s St. Catharines Constituency Association, and CFBU. Jeffrey has been a member of N.A.C. since 2000, and a member of the St. Catharines and Area Arts Council since 2006. In addition, he has been a past member of Theatre Arts Niagara, Artists Protecting Earth, as well as the local poetry groups; The Writing On The Wall, Calling All Writers, and Voices In Your Head. He has played in various local bands including; Unusual Species, Soma Eterna, Billy’s Masonic Tavern, Urban Ambient Underground, Sensory Overload, Sublingual, and Ear Of The Rat (http://www.myspace.com/earoftherat).
