Artist/Office/Project Manager, Musician, Muse.
Now living in beautiful Vancouver BC CVM manages, and also writes songs with her husband singer songwriter Reid Jamieson, who is a regular on CBC's Vinyl Cafe. She cowrote a couple of the songs on Reid's disc The Unavoidable Truth, which was produced by Josh Finlayson (Skydiggers, Gord Downie), and features Sarah Harmer and Bob Egan (Blue rodeo, Wilco). The two continue to write and record and have just released a new full length album titled Staring Contest. CVM wrote the first track with Reid for a train show with the Vinyl Cafe about not giving up on yourself - it’s called Rail and it won the grand prize for the folk catagory in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Rail also scored them them a top ten slot on Shore104’s Song Search as well as a placement in the TV series Being Human. Another track they wrote together The Combination placed in the top 5 in BC for Suzukis Playlist for the Planet. Another co-write Lost was chosen in the top 20 of SHORE104's Song Search and was placed in the film Jake and Jasper: A Ferret Tale. This winning team also took 3rd prize in the Vancouver Folk Festival's Pickin A Folk Star uke song contest with their cheeky song Volunteers.
Seldom seen without her digital camera, blackberry and notebook she is also an avid photo journalist and writer of opinion articles. CVM is a constant student in an effort to further educate herself on the ever changing world around her.
CVM is currently the part-time office manager for EARTHSAVE CANADA, a Vancouver-based registered non-profit that helps people choose foods that benefit our health, the environment and the lives of animals.
