Alan Hardiman is a music and web sound producer. He recently completed work on Catherine Bacque's EP CD Letting Go, a couple of Mark Cassidy's acoustic songs, and the Blue Butterfly Books website catalog soundscape project.
As a recording engineer and supervising sound editor, Alan counts hundreds of hours of film and TV to his credit. He has worked on films with such actors as Charleton Heston, Gina Gershon, Kris Kristofferson, Lauren Bacall, Armand Assante, Dolph Lundgren, and Lauren Holly, and on the TV series Relic Hunter with Tia Carrere (66 episodes), Street Legal, The Twilight Zone, and Ray Bradbury Theatre, among many others. He has recorded a number of orchestral and other classical performances for radio broadcast and served as senior mixer at TV Ontario for five years.
A past chairman of the Audio Engineering Society (Toronto section), Alan holds B.Sc. and M.A. degrees from McGill University in Montreal, and has held executive positions with digital audio workstation pioneers The Synclavier Company in New Hampshire, and TimeLine Vista Inc. (Waveframe) in California. He is a regular contributor to Lighting & Sound America, and has written for Canadian Musician, Professional Sound, Theatre Design & Technology, and other magazines.
