On the first day of May 2012, Corb Lund fans packed the Arden Theatre in St. Albert, Alberta to witness a very special event.

The concert they were about to witness was not only a one-off Edmonton show, but was a sneak preview of his brand new studio album Cabin Fever. The first copies of the album will include two discs, with the songs performed electric on one, and fully acoustic on the other. And for the first time in concert, Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans played some of those new songs totally acoustic, with no amplification whatsoever in the large hall.

Corb has lived in Edmonton -the large metropolis on the doorstep of St. Albert - for decades. Friends and family were certainly a big part of the audience. Those, of course, who weren’t stuck down on the farm.

The music is classic Corb country: a mix of upbeat, melancholy, funny, and very real.
