Remembrance Day. For some, at its most simple, it is a time to remember those who have died or been injured in the name of war. For others, its annual recurrence bears credence that peace will never truly subsist.

Since 1992, Chor Leoni has commemorated Remembrance Day annually with concerts of music and readings.  Over those years, the theme and choice of music has gradually changed focus; more on songs of peace rather than war.  Their hopes and goals over the twenty years of these concerts remain consistent: to provide a quiet space to openly mourn, grieve, remember, and reflect.

CBC Music captured these "choral lions" in a special studio session singing something old, something familiar, and something newly commissioned with But One Equal Light by Peter-Anthony Togni receiving its premiere recording here.
