The 33rd annual CBC Christmas Sing-In features a program of traditional carols — with an audience of more than 1,200 singing along — and other music for the season performed by the Choir of the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, with director of music Jonathan Oldengarm at the organ, the Sing-In Brass led by trombonist Guy Bernard, and conductor Jordan de Souza.
The 2012 Sing-In was presented as part of World Choral Day (Dec. 9, 2012) and was broadcast across Canada on CBC Radio and Espace musique, throughout North America on Sirius Satellite Radio, and internationally on member stations of the European Broadcasting Union.
Through its associated charitable drive, this year's Sing-In raised over $15,000 for LOVE (Leave Out Violence).

I was delighted to hear that this wonderful program is going to be replayed on Christmas Day! Again this year it coincided with our big music presentation at church so we had to miss most of the morning segment. We're looking forward to hearing the whole thing!
Heard O Magnum Mysterium (Lauridsen) while driving to pick up my nephews for Christmas dinner. Every swell melding into the other washed over me with a sense of understanding peace and resolution. This was a sacred moment for me. Thank you for such high quality music, music that heightens the senses, soothes the soul and whispers mystery into one's life. Merry Christmas!

We had opportunity to listen to the program on Radio One in Kitchener, Ontario. Even though we enjoyed the program, we were disappointed that a) it was only for an hour, and b) that your Host Tom Allen deemed it necessary to spend precious program time to announce up-coming programs later in the day. We feel that he could have used that time better to insert some pertinent program notes about the CBC Sing-In itself.
We thoroughly enjoyed the entire program online, however. We feel somewhat embarrassed, because we had been given to understand that the entire program would be aired on Radio One and Radio 2; and we gave that information to many people. Was this a misunderstanding on our part?
For the many people, who have come to expect good programming on CBC Radio (and especially the annual CBC Christmas Sing-In), we pass on to you the request that, for next year, the 2-hour time allocation be again given to this excellent program on Radio One and Radio 2. There are quite a few people who do not have access to online / Internet service, and thus would miss out.
Thanks again, for all your work, and for your reply.
We're so grateful for the CBC's broadcast of this traditional festival of good Christmas music. Though the sentiments of some may not resonate with the reason for the season, the sentiments of many can surely exult in the fine music. We're grateful to the congregation of St. Andrew and St. Paul and the music leadership there for the fine preparation and dedication that has gone into making this music a testament to the hope and aspirations of so many - that there be peace and good will on earth. There is a reason for the season - qui bene cantat, bis orat. Thank you CBC and Tom Allen, Rev. Jeff Veenstra, Jonathan Oldengarm, Jordan de Souza, Guy Bernard, brass and choir......
