Fifty years after the release of Oscar Peterson's "Night Train", Robi Botos and his trio take to the stage of Victoria Hall in Montreal for a performance of the album in its entirety.

Now a vibrant Community Centre, Victoria Hall was where Oscar Peterson began his career. Robi's trio is made up of Oscar Peterson's bass player Dave Young and drummer Alvin Queen.

Why isn't there one option that contains the entire session?  It really isn't thinking in the best interest of your listener to break this concert up just so you can feed me a stupid commercial with every song. This is worse than commercial radio!

Ron - get a life - this was one of the best FREE treats a fan of jazz could ask for - try finding it on any other site ! (The CBC is under enormous pressure to make money- complain to your conservative MP.)

Such great playing! I love Dave Young's comments, too - true for any great music - there always has to be a destination.

I too, like Carol above, was very glad to find this site. Thanks CBC.
