biographical info
Let's face it. Good hard folk is just what you need!
And the SKIVVIES have it. Honest. Down to basic no-nonsense tune and rythmn, these fellahs come to play. And if you haven't yet been lucky enough to hear them play, take a listen to their first cd, called simply enough, the SKIVVIES.
Singer, songwriter Stewart Burrows crafts meaty little broken-hearted songs in rural Quebec. And when he met Montreal fiddler Jonathan Moorman, it was a match made in heaven from flame, hops, sulpher and lucky stars.
Having judiciously steeped themselves in guinness, they sought out drummer Thierry Arsenault, and bassist Tim Walsh, and set out to see the other side of the mountain.
Ably assisted by producer Pierre Pineault, and with talented guests, Sean Dasher, and the remarkable MC Liquid LTD, the Skivvies have crafted a cheeky little CD we think you'll enjoy. Just be sure to thump the table and stomp your feet from from time to time while you listen. Who knew lost love could be so fun?
