biographical info
From performance art roots, the Creaking Planks have motored vigorously right out of the pirate ghetto their name hearkens back to, shedding themselves of their zombiewalk zeitgeist and introducing giddy and head-scratching crowds to songs they already know: new music on old instruments filling the steam-powered iPod of 1906 as the 1980s and 1880s collide. Everything old is new again when you stop to share a dram with the jug band of the damned.
Thanks for everyone's support in the Tracks on Tracks competition, April 2012! If you haven't voted to send us to Toronto yet, please consider it!
