biographical info
The mister-e concept is to get signal onto disk with the right amount of noise
and a corresponding lack of musical ability to mimic a garage band
sound from the 1970’s that probably never existed. You can’t credit us
with duplication, we’re only clever monkeys; albeit recently
enlightened ones.
The aforementioned signals are mixed with a Tascam US-428 and USB’d to a Mac Notebook. The
audio software is CubaseSE. All effects are onboard and part of Cubase
and except for some compression, EQ and reverb, very little is used.
There is quite obviously no autotune...
Beds
are recorded on four live-off-the-floor tracks consisting of acoustic
guitar, electric guitar, drums and a guide vocal. Bass, keyboards, bg’s
and finally the ‘best vocal performance possible’ are added on a second
pass.
As for mastering? These don’t need mastering. These are MP3’s.
