biographical info
I'm Aaron MacInnis and this is the biography of my musical project lesssound. This is the music I make that I want to listen to. You can see and hear my influences very easily. I don't claim to do them justice. Brian Eno and Radiohead are large in my life. As well as great programmers such as Squarepusher and Amon Tobin.
I have played in a few bands and each have progressively gotten better and more interesting. I do find sometimes the rigid ideas of other members in bands to weigh much on my creativity, so, alas, I started this project. It started by trying to prove how easy electronic music can be and ended up a serious passion. I have studied jazz and classical and now make my living as a teacher. I am trying to find avenues through this musical mess that we've gotten ourselves into by incorporating old ideas with new ones. Though, certainly, I just may be adding to the mess. Like it seems to have gone in the past it is going now, generally better music. Hopefully this trend continues.
