“Remember when political MCs made hip-hop one of the most vibrant and revolutionary art-forms in the world? When style and technique were intertwined with substantial lyrics from people with enlightened perspectives who hoped to affect real change in the world? I do. So does Lee Reed, who has a ton to say about the most depressing period of social and political instability in my life time.”
