Born May 15 1992 Khadija (Full Name: Khadija Mbowe) is a singer/rapper/actor and all around performer. Since Kindergarten Khadija has been involved in music, singing in choirs and performing in plays entertaining seems to have been a natural niche for her. She was born in New York and raised in Atlanta until she was fourteen where she moved to and currently resides in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Being brought up in a Gambian household where everything from the native language to food and customs were in constant affect proved to guide and shape the persona that is Khadija. After moving to Canada she attended Central Memorial High School, successfully auditioning for their Vocal music study under their Performing and Visual Arts program. Immersing herself with in debt studies in vocal jazz, music theory, and professionalism in the arts she graduated with both her High School and PVA diploma ready to start a career and make a name for herself. Since graduating she's taken time out of school to focus on her music and development in other aspects of performing, including acting and dancing. With the release of her first album she hopes to bring a new perspective with her look and voice and truly give her audience the essence and presence that is Khadija.
