HASTA LA VISTA, LOVE CATL!
WHEN: Saturday January 19th
WHERE: The Horseshoe Tavern
WITH: Royal Crowns & Canadian Shield
COST: $12
Saturday, January 19th will mark the last show with the catl line-up you know and love. It will be drummer Andrew Moszynski’s final show after an intense year of touring Canada and The United States in support of their record Soon, this will all be gone, released last spring. A prophetic statement that can be interpreted in many different ways. Thankfully, the relationships between the members remain in good standing. We all agree we were getting pretty tired after 3 records and 5 years of constant performing, so Catl have decided it’s time for an indefinite hiatus. Jamie Fleming and Sarah Kirkpatrick (the two remaining members) are unsure when, where or what the future of the band will be. As Fleming continues to record and perform it will remain under the moniker of catl, despite the uncertainty of this current musical direction. Stay tuned for more from the duo!
It was a great year for us with stops at The Bayport Deep Blues festival in Minnesota, a unique opportunity to play The National Arts Centre in Ottawa, as well as great gigs with The Alabama Shakes and our friends The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
Please come down to the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern on January 19th, and let us personally thank our friends and fans with a last drunken dance-party as we kick Andrew’s sorry ass out the door and into the cold dark night!
“Delta-derived juke-joint party music. Ragged, raucous, irresistibly raunchy rhythm ‘n’ blues in the classic sense.”
