biographical info

Jubilee and Grahmzilla together are Bassanovva, a new collaborative project borne out of a mutual love for florida Breaks, rumbling Bass and nitrous Balloons; the three essential B’s needed to a perfect party cocktail. Jubilee ad Grahmzilla are better known as one half of Nightshifters / one third of Flashing Lights and the producer for Thunderheist, respectively. Through a perfect mix of circumstance and opportunity, Jubilee encountered Grahmzilla during her forays into Canada, and they made sure to keep in touch, leading up to a production partnership sure to make subs rattle and parties bang the world over.

Brooklyn bass sweetheart Jubilee is no stranger to bringing hybrid sounds to the dancefloor. Known for her ‘rambunctious combination of bass-heavy electro, upfront house, UK funky, and tropical flavor’ (according to XLR8R), she’s not just content just playing amazing tunes to packed crowds. As the Publicity Director of Nightshifters, Jubilee helps release the best in club tracks and brings forward-thinking artists to New York for her Flashing Lights parties with fellow residents DJ Ayres and Nick Catchdubs.

Grahmzilla is no less busy. He’s toured all over the world with Thunderheist, whose underground hit track ‘Jerk It’ was amongst other things featured in Darren Aronofsky's Oscar-nominated The Wrestler. In the not too distant future, Grahmzilla will also be releasing original music under his solo project Nautiluss, which will include collaborations with songwriters such as Simon Lord (Simian/Black Ghosts) and more. Nautiluss’s genre-blending productions have earned the attention of Mary-Anne Hobbs, Fake Blood and Sinden.

Bassanovva then is where the tangled mix of styles from these two singular producers and party-plotters intersect. Their productions are an unique formula consisting of exotic samples, polyrhythms, a metric ton of sub-bass and songs that actually go somewhere. If that combination piqued your interest, you’re not the only one. Sinden’s new label Grizzly picked up Bassanovva’s debut EP to be featured among Grizzly’s other leftfield dancefloor-driven releases and is out November 1st. The EP will include remixes from a couple of the best up and comers in the game today: Nacho Lovers, Green Money, Hackman, Munchi and Samo Soundboy. Bassanovva isn’t done there either; they have live dates and remixes in the works, so be prepared to hear more from these two!
