True to her divergent roots and wandering,
Yael Wand (pronounced: “Ya-elle”) crafts modern folks songs with fluid borders.
She was raised in the city but now lives in the mountains of northern BC, so
it’s no wonder she’s just as likely to sing about the birds and flowers as she
is about the rough contours of the human soul. With a reputation for making a
hearty meal from an any cupboard, Yael borrows elements from jazz, roots and
world and serves up a scrumptious musical feast. It’s no wonder Calgary’s FFWW
called her a “yummy new discovery”. Yael's just released her second solo album, At Your Door.
