XL Birdsuit is a dynamic rock quartet out of Calgary.
Guitars are played by C.Lukasewich, and bass/keyboards/vocals by C.Vail of the now defunct Shecky Forme group. Other references can be made to P.Coutts on guitar/bass/vocals, who had contributed vocals for the Primrods, and was the forefront member of the New 1-2. Of course, there is Alan the Trapist on drums.
XLBirdsuit lends a post- punk dynamic to assertive pop melodies, layered over boom-box beats. The topical lyrics do not offer solutions for "Boy meets Girl", but vast points of interest such as the supernatural, sociology, and the physical sciences.
The second full-length -"Kisses" - is originaly recorded in 2002 is now available on itunes.
XL Birdsuit's music is unmistakeably theirs, and provides convincing solutions, with a focused vision of a dramatic contemporary sound to come.
