biographical info
A newcomer on the West Coast alt-country / folk scene, Wendy Norman is bringing her delightful songs and charming presence to the stage. Wendy‘s songs are sincere, sweet and simple, but laced with witty and wise lyrics. Recognized for juxtaposing her music with skillful storytelling and humour, she draws on her experiences living on both Canadian coasts.
After successfully releasing and showcasing her self-titled demo CD, Wendy is currently releasing her first album, Reasons for the Waiting, produced by Spencer Capier, and supported by the talents of Jason Homey, Rene Worst, Calum Rees, Adam Percy, and others. She attributes the title to some of the major themes in her music: Earnestly yearning for home, cautiously hoping for love, wearily resigning to time and loss, but always — fiercely, even — upholding the dignity of self.
