Wendy Le Van could sing before she could speak. music has been her best friend throughout many phases of her life. classically trained in church choirs since age three, then onto the royal conservatory for cello, not mention picking up guitar at 12, she branched out at age 17 to study classical indian ragas and bhajan in gujerat and bengal. upon returning, wendy made an abrupt turn in musical pursuits by writing and performing with a techno industrial band 'the deprogrammers' in 1992. 1997 brought a child, and music was no longer a priority. 2002 soon gifted another baby, and the guitar was brought out of garage and dusted off in order to maintain sanity! a performance art duo, 'wendoza' followed. than a successful original female harmony roots duo, 'hawkin's revenge' grew into a socan library of over 50 titles registered to wendy. now bitten by the blues bug, wendy takes on 'wendy biscuit' to pay homage to past and obscure delta blues singers from prohibition to wartime. wendy feels blessed to be surrounded by the support of amazing and talented musicians who are along for the fun and love of this new project.
