biographical info
Sugar-powered guitar, bass and drums of the rocket-rock and post-apocalyptic-pop genres with rythmic dashes of disgrunlted-jangle-grunge. A trio from Erin, Ontario that performed, wrote, recorded, and primarily jammed in basements and garages off and on between 1993 and 1996. While branching out to play all ages shows in the Guelph, Orangeville, Fergus and Georgetown areas, Wendal always hosted their own hometown backyard EPOP concerts. As they began to play Cambridge, Hamilton and Kitchener they developed a 'Dude don't mess with mama' mentality. Wendal began to frequent Toronto's live scene in 1995 and 1996 playing gigs with Sub Pop's Velocity Girl and Jale (Was there a Sloan gig in there? how about the Inbreds?). Never mind that...what about being recognized on Queen street as the 'Muffin Man' for passing out free homemade muffins midset at gigs? But enough of Queen Street. Can we go back to something more inspiring, something rural now...
