Winning Vancouver’s Bandfest Battle of the Bands in September 2002, first tour through Alberta started with the Van breaking down at the side of the road, a belt fight at cowboys in Edmonton and the rental car was destroyed by crowbars, all in the first 2 nights in Alberta. Shane from Swollen Members,Battle Axe Records came to a show This set about producer Roger Swan and the recording of 15 instrumental tracks. Vocals were never completed, Roger was very busy with KOS and Swollen members and the album was taking way too long. The boys decided to record a new album and change the band’s name to Waiting for Roger.
Just completing a full album with Todd Kerns and Jay of Juice Mix Productions at Green House Studios, the band has taken a full 180 degree turn and is completely different from the hard rock band that lost their innocence in the Wilds of Alberta. Waiting for Roger has risen out of the ashes of the burned van at the side of the road in Alberta and can hardly be recognized as the former band known as BushLeague.
With music that is introspective, melodic and lyrically interesting, Waiting for Roger is building a following that does not include an army, but does include a crowd of intelligent music aficionados.
