biographical info
Imagine... the end of the world, the end of the word. It's the fear
caused by anxiety that motivates the urgency of change. The end is
simply a change of situations and/or circumstances, and there will
always be the word - unaffected by the (often-limited) human
interpretation of change. The word cannot ask the question; "Is it fear
or excitement?" - Of the direction that human anxiety will go forward
to.... The word will always be used to describe the direction, but only
after it has been decided.... Village To The South is the word that
describes the experiences of its songwriter, Jeffrey Rossetto, as he
found himself in a new place at a young age with changes brought by
situations and/or circumstances that were first thought of as 'the
end'. An exploration of thoughts and feelings, sounds and colours, the
past and the present, as well as the possible (and impossible!) future
of himself, his current place in life, and his place in the world.
Ranging from dark to light, from shade to tint, and from thought to
expression. The sound of Village To The South is an experiment in sonic
fusion - folk, electronic, rock'n'roll, pop, avant-garde, psychedelia,
punk, goth, glam, poetry, and of both the structured and
improvisational song writing experience. A journey with no destination,
with no beginning, and no end. Imagine... the change of the world, the
change of the word. It is neither fear nor excitement, but simply the
word that describes the direction of change, only after its decision
has been made.
