biographical info
The Wolfnote can be best described by one of their lyrics: "These notes are bombs!" Since forming in 2002, the Wolfnote have been changing the perception of music in Edmonton. Their unique sound can likely be attributed to the diverse styles of the member's former groups, ranging from post-rock, skate rock, and rockabilly to hardcore and electronica. Their sound is urgent and driving, and a creative revolution to them and their listeners. The Wolfnote blends influences with early new-wave bands like the B-52's, the post-hardcore sound of Drive like Jehu and the Nation of Ulysses with traditional rock and roll that starts in the hips. It is forceful, sassy, and chaotic, all at once.
