THE VIOLET ARCHERS
After close to two decades as singer and multi-instrumentalist for rock icons Rheostatics, writer and producer Tim Vesely gazes into a new pair of shoes with The Violet Archers. Vesely is joined by singer and pianist, Ida Nilsen (Great Aunt Ida, Buttless Chaps), drummer Cam Giroux (Oh Suzannah), Bassist Scott Remila (Raising the Fawn), and guitarist Yawd Sylvester (Tres Bien Ensemble). The debut album, The End of Part One, released August 23rd 2005 is available on the Vancouver-based label Northern Electric.
The new release, Sunshine at Night, released May 6, 2008 is available in record stores on the Zunior label and on-line at Zunior.ca
