biographical info

With a decades worth of headlining Roots and Celtic festivals to selling out nights at rock venues The Town Pants own brand of celt roots rock rebel spans five albums so far, backed up with a legendary live show that’s garnered them fans internationally from Ottawa to Oslo.

Formed over a couple of drinks sometime last century by David and Duane Keogh (sort of a beery Everly Brothers) who handle dual lead vocals. From humble beginings of street songs, trad numbers and rebel songs all shook by the scruff of the neck played at amphetamine gallop, the band developed performing its own original material and carved out a distinct identity all their own. The sophomore album "Piston Baroque", was produced by Spirit of the Wests' Hugh McMillan, who also co-produced "Weight of Words" released in Feb. 2006.  The band recorded a live CD "Coming Home" in 2007 to celebrate their 10th anniversary, and continue to tour across North America at folk and roots music festivals, and are hometown favourites in the always sunny city of Vancouver, British Columbia

The Town Pants' latest album is the newly released "Shore Leave" on Maximum/EMI in Canada in late 2010.
