The Swiftys have been termed as both old school country and as modern outlaws. Their original material is influenced by country greats such as Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Steve Earle, as well as by rock ‘n’ roll legends CCR and The Band.
Coming together in the spring of 2002, The Swiftys have shared the stage with the likes of Lucinda Williams, Fred Eaglesmith, Marty Stuart, The Sadies,
Rodney Crowell, Bernie Leadon and many, many more .
Currently, The Swiftys are excited to be supporting their debut eponymous release, The Swiftys. The record charted at number 7 of the top 100 on CKUA Radio for 2003 and has been receiving rave reviews from press such as The Edmonton Sun, Winnipeg Free Press, !exclaim, Maverick Magazine and Country Music News.
