biographical info
THE STAND G.T. began jamming in an abandoned chicken coop in Glengarry, Ontario in the late 80s.
Their first taste of wax came when they snuck a track onto "It Came From Canada Vol. 5" on the legendary OG Records. From there The Stand GT began cranking out 7s for Montreal's En Guard Records. Then came the relentless touring.
In the mid-90s, the band travelled to Seattle to record their first album at EGG Studios with guitar-rock-hero, Mr. Kurt Bloch of the fantastic Fastbacks and Young Fresh Fellows. 'They're Magically Delicious' was released in the US on Top Drawer and in Spain on Munster Records. 'Apocalypse Cow' followed on Lance Rock records and in the US on Get Hip. Tours continued and so did the singles.
After a couple of years of taking a break from being rock and roll nobodys, the Stand GT have re-emerged with 'Good On The River', which spent 14 weeks on Chart's top 50 this year.
