biographical info

The Social Workers are an Indie Rock band from Hamilton, ON. They try to draw musical influence from all different bands and eras such as The Strokes, Joy Division, Radiohead along with heavy classical overtones. The Social Workers practice as much as possible and play all the shows they can manage along with keeping up their work at McMaster. The Social Workers have one self produced EP entitled The Old World EP. They have shared the stage with the likes of Mother Mother, Japandroids, Still Life Still, Said the Whale, The Wooden Sky, Paper Lion, Library Voices, Woodpigeon, Yukon Blonde, Sandman Viper Command, and many more. The bands they have played with have been an integral part of their career as they have shaped their outlook on the business and for that the Social Workers thank them. The Social Workers were picked to win the Jamilton Talent Search 2010 and they cannot express the gratitude towards their fans and the judges who picked them. Hey Ya'll, Hopefully is staying positive during the oppressing time of exams for those in school and those who just still have to go to the daily grind each and every day. If you lovely people didn't know, due to our triumph at the Jamilton contest this year we get the amazing opportunity to do some recording at Vibewrangler Studios. So, what we ask of you dearies, is get excited. Tell your friends, tell your parents, tell your kids, tell you social workers. And when it comes out, listen to it, love it, and again show everyone!! Love, The Social Workers
