The Shoeless Joes
The formation of The Shoeless Joes
Is a tale that few may know.
The summer of 2010 was when it all began
And the art of music brought together three young men. First there were two but that would not last.
Quinlin joined up and made that the past.
On bass would be Ethan Stork,
Guitar and voice was myself,
Lead guitar would be Quinlin Cork,
And the rest would write itself.
From out of the blue, we decided to write
Some songs about songs about songs we all liked,
And after we jammed and grew into a sound
We felt it was time to spread our noise around.
For 3 kids with 3 tastes that all differed 3 ways
We made one type of music for a number of days.
Recording five demos in just seven sessions,
The music began to make a progression.
In no time we were playing our songs for some crowds
And the news of our band was spreading around
So we played some more shows for as long as we could
But all things come to an end if they are good
We had to continue our lives after summer
And that meant we all had to leave one another
But don't think The Shoeless Joes to be dead
For we've only just started the journey ahead.
More music is sure to be made from the band
We hope you have patience and all understand
We may not have shoes but we do have a spark
And we'll bring music to you until it grows dark!
