biographical info

The Relicts evolved from a pile of strings, scrap wood, suitcases, biscuit tins, and assorted other junk... literally. Every instrument they play is home made. Formed in 2009, they played the Ness Creek Music Festival and have attracted huge crowds wherever they play on the street. You just can't believe the sound they can get out of those instruments. Not quite blues, not quite bluegrass, not quite rock, they have a sound that is entirely their own.

Ahren (biscuit-tin guitar, baking-tin guitar, percussion, and vocals), Isaac (suitcase drums and vocals), and Jessica (biscuit-tin guitar and vocals) hail from Saskatoon, their cousin Peter (four-string fretless washtub bass and vocals) from Ottawa.

The Relicts at Ness Creek '09 - Monsters

The Relicts played the Ness Creek Music Festival July '09. The people back stage were looking at them like they were some one-trick pony kazoo band. You can see them all pull the curtain back to the right of the stage going "Holy crap! Those guys are really good!" Jessica (Lead Vocals and Biscuit Tin Guitar), Ahren (Biscuit Tin Guitar), Peter (4-String Fretless Washtub Bass), Isaac (Suitcase Drum Kit and Vocals)
