biographical info
The Rain and the Sidewalk (formerly known as Introvert) is mostly Trevor Thompson, a distant, irritating, tortured soul in Vancouver, B.C., who creates moody, semi-electronic, postpunk art-pop, with industrial smatterings.
Their newest EP is called Stuck, released Dec/2011. It is a collection of new recordings of fan favourites from the band's live sets. It includes new versions of Hollow, Slow Motion Shattering, plus covers of The Organ's It's Time to Go and Kate Bush's Army Dreamers.
The EP has charted on many college stations (CiTR, CJSW, CFRC, CFBX), and was in the Top 200 nationally in Feb.
The EP can be downloaded free through SoundCloud.
Shannon Hallett (Betty Kracker) performs live with Trevor, as does Wayde Compton. They appear on WEAKNESS, an ambitious 28-song double CD, realeased in the latter part of 2009. The album has charted on many college stations, including CiTR, CHUO, and CKXU.
The CD can be bought in Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa shops and can be ordered directly in the EU via www.ciel-rouge.fr and from BandCamp in the rest of the world.
Shannon and Trevor toured TRATS in Eastern Canada in spring 2010, and plan to tour again soon.
The first CD INANIMATE was inflicted on innocent bystanders in 2006. For the sake of humanity, his friends Wayde and Dave somehow managed to convince Desert Rose to supply most of the vocals. The CD charted on college radio stations across the country. A limited remix CD, REDUNDANT, was released in 2008.
