biographical info

The Quadriplegic Twelve came to be in 1999. The original line-up was not much different from the band's current incarnation. The line-up featured Adam, Greg, Dave and Dan, and the four recorded a handful of crude cassettes on a boombox. Dan -- who played the keyboard -- would depart in early 2002 to focus on his education. In mid-2002 the band recruited Theo to play the electric chord organ. The third incarnation of the Quadriplegic Twelve moved from being a hokey side-project to a focused pursuit, with weekly practices and an ever growing and evolving portfolio of material. The band graduated from boombox recordings to proper demos, releasing their first four-song demo in November of 2002. Shortly thereafter the group's first studio effort 'This House is a Home' was released on Weener Records. The band played around the competitive and highly critical Brampton independent curcuit, struggling to find a audience. The group's fresh and truly unique brand of pop did not gel into the area's overwhelmingly punk rock ghetto. In June of 2003, Dan would re-enter the QT fold this time as drummer, thus bringing the band full circle as an infectious lo-fi pop powerhouse. Since then the band has recieved mainstream media and shared bills alongside such celebrated acts as Hayden. The band is currently in isolatioin recording their second studio effort.
