biographical info
The Lost Stompin' Tom Songs are songs that Stompin' Tom recorded in the 1970s on a four-track machine (one of the first consumer multi-track studios available: the TEAC 2340). They were recently discovered by the Canadian folklorist Staunton Q. Livingston, who has restored and mastered the recordings, and who has written a detailed explication of Tom's nearly forgotten works.
Staunton's essay and the album can be freely accessed at www.loststompintomsongs.com.
