biographical info
Meeting for the first time for no other reason than a good ol' fashion fist fight over a girl, Tylor Rolyt & Jeff Zipp would embark on what is now known as The Light Machines. They recruited Nick Beddow (bass) and after (sort of) misplacing a drummer, they re-evaluated their goals and changed direction. In return, they were welcomed by producer and studio owner Jonathan Fluevog into the Vogville family for a development deal.
Early on, The Light Machines were pulling from distinctive musical influences such as: Southern Rock, Blues, and Glam. But with a couple of helping hands, now have a more unique and polished sound. "It was really important to us that our first album would feature our diversity as a band and not just who we grew up listening to." They wanted to make an album that would force them out of their comfort zones and express something original as a band.
